TimingKunee 09-26-2008, 05:58 PM Hello: It is me again. I have replaced the headgasket but in doing so may have jacked the timing. Any hints as an easy way to bring it all back in line. The timing belt is aligned correctly my concern is the distributer. So if any hints that can be pased my way would be appreciated. Thnaks Kunee studdly 09-27-2008, 02:02 AM first is to find top dead center on number one cylinder. line up the rotor to number one cylinder wire and in it goes. fine tune it by ear. Kunee 09-28-2008, 04:22 PM I had an issue with the car starting after putting new head gasket. Everything lined up right, fuel & spark good. Still woulndt start. Finally figured out had to reset computer. Pulled off ground on battery, put headlights on for 5 minutes to drain excess energy. Reconnected and started right away.
