I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 5.2 2 wd. about a month ago i was driving down the road and lost overdrive. At first when id let off the gas to coast, after a few seconds it would drop to about 1000rpms and shift out of overdrive. when i gave it gas it would come back in, later that day no overdrive. been in shop eversence. they replaced every sensor and solinod in trans plus tps, engine temp, tore down valve body 2 times,and overdrive 2 times both fine. it had gave code p1740 od,tcc, fixed it then gave code for govener pressure, fixed it. no other codes but still no overdrive.

did they check the o/d relay in the fuse box under the hood?

yes it was fine, also uplugged brake light switch no help ether.

the relays on the back row are all the same. swap one out for the t/c one i used the horn.if it still won't work then probably the silenoid on the inside of trans that engages the t/c .

fixed it y cousin put a valve bodie in it, he had gone through the old one a couple of times and thought it was all right,guess not.
