Saudade 10-12-2008, 10:24 AM The factory setup uses a vacuum control system. There's a vacuum actuator io the top of the axle tube and a shifter fork housing. If these are not there, then a previous owner swapped out your front axle. In that case the axle is always locked regardless of 2wd, 4wd or even neutral. The TC only engages the front drive shaft.
