atuo lock hubs or vaccum actuator on the front axle

if it has the vaccum actuator it will look like a canister on the axle with a hose or 2 connected to it

The factory setup uses a vacuum control system. There's a vacuum actuator io the top of the axle tube and a shifter fork housing.

If these are not there, then a previous owner swapped out your front axle. In that case the axle is always locked regardless of 2wd, 4wd or even neutral. The TC only engages the front drive shaft. There are no locking hubs unless, once again, a previous owner modified your setup.
