the fan in this sentra does not work like it should with the fan switch. it is wired to the ignition switch, so it turns on automaticly and stays on when the car is turned on. it is rigged like this so the car wont overheat. could someone give me any info on how to fix this problem. i would realy appreciate it thank you......:feedback:

If there is power to the fan and there is a good ground the fan should work. If it doesn't the fan itself is bad. Most likely it is worn out from being on all the time. If it is the fan and you do end up replacing it it might be worth digging into the reason it does not work as the factory intended!

You might want to check for an inline fuse as well that could be blown.

i apologize for the confusing question. the fan works good, it just doesnt work like it soposed to. the fan is rigged to the ignition, so it turns on and stays on all the time. it should work off a switch or something right.

yeah it should work off of the coolant temp sensor, and a relay.

would there be another sensor that controls the fan

I think the best thing you could do is get yourself a cooling fan wiring diagram for this car. I want to say off the top of my head that there is a coolant switch that controls the fan on these but without the diagram I couldn't say for sure.
