90 sentra cooling fan not working......wtf-u-say 09-23-2008, 12:58 AM the fan in this sentra does not work like it should with the fan switch. it is wired to the ignition switch, so it turns on automaticly and stays on when the car is turned on. it is rigged like this so the car wont overheat. could someone give me any info on how to fix this problem. i would realy appreciate it thank you......:feedback: Airjer_ 09-23-2008, 10:37 AM If there is power to the fan and there is a good ground the fan should work. If it doesn't the fan itself is bad. Most likely it is worn out from being on all the time. If it is the fan and you do end up replacing it it might be worth digging into the reason it does not work as the factory intended! RaeRae1 09-23-2008, 12:57 PM You might want to check for an inline fuse as well that could be blown. wtf-u-say 09-23-2008, 03:21 PM i apologize for the confusing question. the fan works good, it just doesnt work like it soposed to. the fan is rigged to the ignition, so it turns on and stays on all the time. it should work off a switch or something right. slideways... 09-24-2008, 07:51 AM yeah it should work off of the coolant temp sensor, and a relay. wtf-u-say 09-25-2008, 01:24 AM would there be another sensor that controls the fan Airjer_ 09-25-2008, 04:38 PM I think the best thing you could do is get yourself a cooling fan wiring diagram for this car. I want to say off the top of my head that there is a coolant switch that controls the fan on these but without the diagram I couldn't say for sure. wtf-u-say 09-29-2008, 02:28 AM thanks for the info. i will look up what you mentioned..... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
