I had a small tranny leak towards the rear of the transmission for a while until I blew the water pump on a highway trip. I pulled over immediately and shut it down, It got up to about 260°. I had it towed back to my house and continued on. By the time I returned home a few days later the transmission was drained from what seems to be the same area (where the trans/tc bolts together?). I replaced the water pump and it runs great. My question is does one have to do with the other and is the leak something I can handle myself? I know this sounds redundant and I read some of the threads about transmission leaks but I just want to make sure...
