How to retrieve "Code" for Radio\CD Player

To Anyone who read my earlier post, I figured out that the reason the car wouldn't start was the battery. It's only a year old so I thought it was something else. Turned out to be a defective battery. After I replaced it I tried to turn on the radio and I got a "Code" message on the screen. According to the owners manual, that code was given to the original owner. Since I bought the car used I have no idea what the code is. Anyone know what to do here? I'd like to avoid having to take it to the dealer (far away). Any info would be most apreciated.

Pull sterio out and call parts department to the acura dealership and read the number to the back of the stereo to the parts people. Then they will give you a code to the stereo.

Radio code supplied seperately from owners manual.
it is a card with four numbers. If you can't find it then you can collect the code from the honda dealer & they can access your Radio code by Vehicle Identification Number.

if you're too lazy to get on the phone to speak to a person:

Retrieving Your Code
You can retrieve your code using this website by providing identity verification and vehicle information in a few simple steps.

Information You Will Need

Vehicle VIN Number
Phone Number and Zip Code matching those on file
Device Serial Number

You can retrieve your code using this website during the following hours:

Monday to Friday 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM PDT (Pacific Daylight Time)

4:00 AM to 6:30 PM on Saturdays PDT

4:00 AM to 9:00 PM PDT on Sundays.

---> the matching phone number will be hard to do when you don't update the owner history online first...
you can change the "acura" to "honda" for the link i provided; also update their database by registering your honda/acura online

https://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/login.asp?brand=honda

also, there are a few Honda Tech members that can give the code to you directly when you supply the numbers; they'll just punch the #s for you to look it up or some actually works at the dealership!
