(I know they are 4 stud and not 5, my mistake). I was going for quite a subtle sort of look and am pretty pleased with the result. The indoor photographs aren't great so I will try to add some outside ones over the weekend. http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/4664/dscf1897vh2.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/9696/dscf1892je9.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/5387/dscf1891tv6.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/8692/dscf1888yq1.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/6702/dscf1820wc0.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/8084/dscf1884lh3.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/1941/dscf1883nf7.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/400/dscf1881wg0.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/4982/dscf1879ps0.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/1797/dscf1877gl6.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/1223/dscf1874cm9.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/1537/dscf1873zm7.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/1158/dscf1870eq7.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/8373/dscf1868pz2.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/2457/dscf1865hj4.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/2222/dscf1866vr2.jpg http://img396.imageshack.us/img396/4043/dscf1864ey4.jpg 73superduty 09-18-2008, 10:57 PM Excellent result from what you had to work with out of the box. I think you nailed the look you were going for. It looks very subtle, but with an aggressive look too. Nice paint and even the wheels look good regardless of lugs. Tanks for sharing! Chris stryfe101 09-19-2008, 09:39 AM I love it...perfect balance of old and new with the wheels...Great look! what color did you use on this? I like it alot.. Gray Viccario 09-19-2008, 03:28 PM I love it...perfect balance of old and new with the wheels...Great look! what color did you use on this? I like it alot.. Gray Thanks for the comments, the colour is metallic black from a spray can from Halfords (UK Auto parts store). From memory I think it is a Vauxhall (GM) colour. I hadn't noticed that when viewed in bright light/sunshine you can actually see some green flecks in it! tonioseven 09-19-2008, 04:08 PM I love it! I've followed the WIP and it got me to build mine so I'm glad to see this one completed! The paintwork is terrific!! :sunglasse Mojo_stevo 09-19-2008, 11:26 PM Sweet ass sweet. I love the Longchamp xr4's. Viccario 09-20-2008, 06:20 AM Some more pictures taken outside with alternative bonnet. http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/6046/dscf1907iv3.jpg http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/82/dscf1919ta9.jpg http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/8905/dscf1920xv0.jpg http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/5797/dscf1954lp2.jpg http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/5972/dscf1961th6.jpg http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/3315/dscf1921zg4.jpg http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/9973/dscf1924ld1.jpg http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/3904/dscf1926vu1.jpg http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/4844/dscf1941jx6.jpg http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/4883/dscf1943mn8.jpg http://img187.imageshack.us/img187/5840/dscf1944hq3.jpg http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/3982/dscf1951pn5.jpg Mojo_stevo 09-20-2008, 09:33 AM Wha happened to the mirror/s. Hmm it's a tough choice between the two bonnets. I think I like the first one better. Similar to the GTO one. Viccario 09-20-2008, 10:04 AM Wha happened to the mirror/s. Hmm it's a tough choice between the two bonnets. I think I like the first one better. Similar to the GTO one. Unfortunately no mirrors came with the kit! And I haven't found anything suitable yet. Any suggestions? DasWiesel 09-20-2008, 04:04 PM Simple and clean, very nice! jano11 09-20-2008, 04:18 PM Very clean and beautiful model! I like the 2nd engine cover variation a bit more. voyageur 09-21-2008, 04:40 AM Nice one! You achieved a smooth understated but still aggressive look. The only downside are the headlights, you probably should have replaced them with clear ones... Cheers DerXL 09-21-2008, 07:15 AM Great looking build. The paintjob is really top. Very smooth and shiny. I'm normally not a fan of american muscle cars. But I must admit that this one looks really great. For what it's worth, I prefer the second hood. But it seems that the fitment of this one isn't as good as the first hood... HotZ28 09-21-2008, 09:54 AM Thanks for bringing back some good old memories. The car looks great! I actually owned a 69 Firebird with the Ram Air III engine, TH-400. In stock factory trim, (with only headers) the car ran 13.10 ET in 1/4! It looked like grandmas car, with black exterior/interior and small hubcaps. After owning the car for a few years and not being satisfied with low 13’s; I decided to pull the engine and do some tricks to it. I went .030 over on the bore, new pistons & moly rings, micro polished crank and balanced the bottom end. In addition, while it was apart, we did a 3-angle valve job and installed stronger springs to match the new Crane cam with more lift/duration than the factory cam. When we put it back together, the car instantly ran 12.80. Still not satisfied, I decided to install a meticulously rebuilt 3-duce setup from a 66 GTO! Next time out at the track the ET dropped to 12.50 with no other changes. My next mods included a 3000-stall B&M converter & 3.90 gears. With this combination, the car ran 12.20 ET’s all day long. BTW, this car was a daily driver” and grocery getter; often referred to as the “Hemi Killer”. ZoomZoomMX-5 09-21-2008, 10:36 AM Nice work, especially considering the base kit is quite a handful  striving 09-22-2008, 11:36 PM Great looking model. Love the way those wheels look on this. You did good here man!! Viccario 09-23-2008, 07:11 PM Thanks for all the comments, good to see it brought back some memories HotZ28 and yes Zoom Zoom MX5 it was definitely a bit of a handful to say the least!
