Knocking noise suspension

I am hearing a loud knock from the front drivers side suspension of my 97 lumina. The noise is not intermittent when I do hear it. I coincides with wheel speed. I can only hear the noise when coasting. It goes away when I hit the gas or brake. I am thinking cv joint? Any other ideas? Thanks a bunch.

Does the noise change when either turning or when going over bumps/uneven road surfaces? If it does, then I would say its a CV axle issue (inner if it changes while going over bumps/uneven roads, outer if while turning. There's a chance it could be a hub bearing too, any trac-off or ABS lights on?

I didn't really notice any changes going over the bumps. I will check the turns again. It is not a grinding noise at all. It is definetely a hard knock. Could the hub bearing make that noise? I thought a bearing would make a grinding type noise? Anyways there are no lights the car does not have abs.
