My dad-in-law has an early '80s Golf with 750K+ miles on it. No joke. He bought it new, replaced the transmission once, the clutch 2wice. He should get some kind of prize from VW. Like maybe a new Phaeton or something...

I scan in a pencil rough then redraw it in Illustrator using just lines. Then I open the Illustrator file in photoshop and I add color in photoshop channels.

it's starting to come around finally

I got the VW Performance issue it's featured in so it's pretty fun about now.

I think it'll dial itself in and end up pretty ok which is a good thing. I'm glad I did this one. It's been a learning experience for sure.

The chrome rims looks spot on and the body reflections give a nice "depth" to the image.
