wheel cover (Elantra 2004)Rajan 09-15-2008, 08:20 PM Hi, I need help in opening wheel covers. I have to know the procedure of taking off these covers. I can see 5 or 6 'L' shaped clips touching the wheel. They come out but the four nuts attached to covers are unable to open. I can also see small rings with a little gap between their ends attached to the these cover nuts. Do we need them to pry out ? I would really appreciate if anyone could help me out in opening these covers. Thanks lowsonoma1999 09-16-2008, 11:51 AM Hi, I need help in opening wheel covers. You will have to remove the lugnuts in order to take the wheel cover off. No way around it, unless you want to break it off. Rajan 09-16-2008, 06:11 PM Thanks for your response. The rings are very small. Is there any way / tool to remove the black rings ? Thanks once again. peachferrari 09-17-2008, 05:17 PM Once you take the lugnuts off you'll see how it all works. If I remember right the black rings are attached to the lugnuts themselves, and aren't that hard to get off if you want them off. lowsonoma1999 09-17-2008, 09:59 PM Thanks for your response. However, if you take the black ring off, there won't be anything holding the hubcap on. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
