Fluid leaking from my 1997 Jimmy

I have 2 questions I was wondering if anyone could help me with?
The first one is I have a fluid leaking from underneath my 1997 GMC Jimmy, the leak seems to be located about where the automatic gear shift is on the floor and right underneath the center of the engine. The fluid seems to be very light in color. I can't tell if it's coming from another area and just coming out there or what? Sorry not very much info for you to go on.
Second, my air conditioner went out of my car this summer, so I took it in to get a recharge and they couldn't get it to hold the charge. Why would it not recharge?
Thanks for your help!!

Welcome to AF.
On the AC it has a keak someplace.
The people that charged it up should have checked for leaks.
You may need to find a good AC place that can check it out and test for leaks.
Does it have any oil spots on ac lines or compreser or condenser?
They make a freon /gas sniffer to check for leaks and also leak dye you can add to system to find leaks.

On the fluid leak is it red or black or engine coolant?
Is any fluids getting low?
Clean off oil leak and look for where it is coming from.
They also make a leak dye kit for fluid leaks.
Good luck
