Airbag flashing lights code 32

I have a 1997 Aspire, 72,000 kms. Automatic.

So, the airbag lights flash. If I don't get it fixed, does it cause any problems, other than the annoying flashing light?

Car runs great. Gas mileage is what it's supposed to be. Very happy with the car so far. (Really liked my Festiva better, though.)

I think you should go to a body shop that works on Fords they can fix your problem. This is a safety item that should be repaired.

This happens to my 2003 Ford Escape, nothing has happened so I didn't do anything, but my local mechanic said that it was a problem with wires and that I shouldn't worry.

code 32 means Driver Side Air Bag/Safing Sensor Circuit - High Resistance or Open .This might be caused by loose connection to a bad Airbag Module.
During testing, there is a real danger of Airbag unintentional deployment.
That's why I would suggest the Dealer handle this problem.

I agree with taking the car to the dealership since the air bag can easily hurt you seriously. It's basically an explosive device without the heat.
