ok we have two problems one the van will not start from the key switch. You can by pass it at the relay with the key on and it will start and run.

lacks power at acceleraton but not abouve say 35 mph van idels a little rough but not bad. there seems to be no unuual noises or smoke comming from it.

Bad starter relay or a bad ignition switch will keep the starter from engaging via the key.

Code 27 indicates a problem with fuel injector #4. This would explain your sub-35 MPH issue.

I believe this code is not #4 specific. Check the harness and the plugs on the injectors. Basically what it means is a plug or harness prob at one or more injectors or 1 or more injectors are bad or clogged. Try some Techron Plus or Lucas Fuel injector cleaner (I personally like the Techron) for a couple tank fulls and see if it clears up.

You're correct, I didn't look far enough down the list to see that code 27 is listed multiple times, covering all of the injector circuits.

And BTW kgriggs75 (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/member.php?u=430281), Try the relay first, then replace the ign. switch. Once you get it to start properly, the other prob might go away.
