new browser troubles Firefox 3gionc 09-07-2008, 05:41 AM I guesses was me (a$$hole) but I noticed that around the board someone other report these troubles: With the last Mozilla Firefox release (3.0) you can't do "Quick Reply" and "Edit" a post. Anyone know more? Any idea to fix the bug? TBH I didn't noticed any improovment beeing a rough user, may be better back to the old release? MPWR 09-07-2008, 08:07 AM You're just hitting the http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/buttons/reply.gif button too hard. M-Tuning 09-07-2008, 08:13 AM I'm having the same problems jano11 09-08-2008, 05:49 AM Me too. And it's been for 2 months already. '97ventureowner 09-08-2008, 09:28 AM I went back and starting using 2.0.0.16 again with no problems. Everytime I sign onto my computer after about 5 minutes of activity, I get a pop-up window from Mozilla letting me know 3.0 is ready to download. I just click "Later", no use downloading it again if the problems with this site haven't been ironed out yet. My son's computer has 3.0.1 on it and I forget that fact sometimes if I happen to be on it and decide to do a quick check of AF and post a reply :banghead:. In the meantime, continue to use the "Go Advanced" button and reply from that screen,( at least that function still works ) Knifeblade_03 09-09-2008, 04:44 AM Same hassles here, no edit or quick reply, but the Go Advanced works. Weird. 4wheelsonline 09-10-2008, 02:50 AM I don't like the new firefox 3 because some of my important firefox add-ons are not compatible and not working... :( Jack Zim 09-16-2008, 04:49 PM Same hassles here, no edit or quick reply, but the Go Advanced works. Weird. I just joined the site, but my firefox 3 has the qucik reply ability. Wonder what's up? CivicSpoon 09-16-2008, 07:28 PM On a few rare occasions I click the Post Quick Reply button, and it actually works. By rare occasion I mean once out of 20-30 times. The Edit button never works though. '97ventureowner 09-30-2008, 02:51 PM Just wanting to do a little bit of updating here. I came across a discussion on the Internet concerning some issues with Firefox 3 and some websites. Firefox 3 Beta 5 is now being tested for release and there are about 750 "fixes" to known issues with previous versions, ( as of this post I believe FF 3 .03 is being released.)One of the items mentioned was a fix for FF 3 to be compatible with more websites. Keep our fingers crossed and let's hope this will allow those with FF3 to be able to fully use all the functions here on AF. ( If I happen to test FF3Beta5 and see if it works , I'll post any findings here for informational purposes.) Anybody try using Google's new browser "Chrome" with AF? Any issues there? robkooL 10-10-2008, 05:25 PM I am using chrome now, i love it. it loads pages quickly and efficiently Manic1888 05-25-2009, 02:50 PM I'm confused by all of this!! Manic1888 06-11-2009, 03:31 PM Here, here to Chrome- good tool '97ventureowner 06-11-2009, 03:50 PM UPDATE The above issue with FF3 and AF has been solved a few months back with an upgrade to the site's software and servers. There should be no more issues posting a reply within the forums by using any button. 604action 06-15-2009, 02:04 AM I don't know if I have this problem. http://animepisodes.info/images/3f4366aeb9c157cf9a30c90693eafc55.jpg daniel86 07-02-2009, 10:17 AM I've had alot of trouble with the latest firefox recently. The main issues I've had is the fact it keeps crashing and using huge amounts of memory. For example I'd have 8 tabs open and it would be using over 1gig of memory. Crazy. Daniel LearnAutoBody 07-20-2009, 02:28 PM Is that the Google Chrome you're talking about? I have not used it, but would like more information about it. Is it still working well for you? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
