1997 temp gauge

my temp gauge stays on hot even after it sits over night ive changed the coolant temp sensor and still reads hot

The gage may be bad or you might have a wire feeding it grounded. Usually a scrap yard sells the whole cluster unless he has a returned defective unit with the part you need still good.
