Im thinking maybe a blown head gasket? Im not sure . Please help! this is usually the case....the heads may be cracked....could just be the gasket ....but in any case both heads must come of and sent to the machine shop for insuring they are not warped ...it could also be all of the above.. when you remove them it is usually seen ...whats up.. how did this occur ???? did you drive after you noticed the overheating ?? MT-2500 09-11-2008, 09:43 AM Before you think head gasket do a little testing. Always check the intake gasket first. acewelderman 09-11-2008, 10:19 PM I have a park ave that had the same symptoms(never over heated)And it was a cracked intake. Not the gasket but a crack in just the right spot can cause your issue. I was PISSED OFF, a GM product with a big ole PLASTIC piece of garbage intake!! j cAT 09-12-2008, 10:54 AM I have a park ave that had the same symptoms(never over heated)And it was a cracked intake. I believe the cracked/defective intake manifolds where on the v6 engines....these problems have since been a thing of the past as this failure don't take long to occur.....just normal use or even no use and these manifolds will crack... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
