cv half shaft won't go into transmission!

I've tried yelling at it...i've tried screaming at it...Kicking it...Swearing at it... I even tried a hammer...For a minute I thought the swearing was working... but i was wrong... :banghead:

someone please be of assistance...




2002 mitsubishi eclipse...front wheel drive 3.0
Putting new half shafts on...can't get it into the transmission! Goes in part way then stops at the spline...
