1991 regal gs

i finally got the car up to run--the car been sitting up for about 6 years -when i start the car the check engine light comes on-code 34 i unplugged mass sensor and the car idle better-what seems to be the problem--also the transmissiom whines a little 3800 eng---225000 miles-i changed the mass air sensor and the idle control valve-now the car will stay idle but it still idle a little when i first start it --new plugs and wires-i changed the oil--changed-fuel pump-- still has a little miss--what i need to lok for now?

Since the car runs better with the MAF unplugged, I would say it is the issue with the idling problem. Since it has sat a lot, if you haven't changed the fuel filter, do so. The transmission whine could be from deposits that have formed from sitting also. Try a good trans treatment like Seafoam, Lucas or Trans-X and do a trans filter change.
