My 69 formerly had a 307 and now has a 454ci beast, I was wondering what big block front end kit works great and how the car sits after. I did some research of the TVS System Big Block (http://www.hotchkis.net/p-631-tvs-system-big-block.aspx) from hotchkis, but want to know what the car will look like after. If you have and pics, thoughts, and other suggestions, please feel free to post away.

With new BB springs, it'll probably sit too high for a long time. If you have a choice between regular or heavy duty springs, go with the regular ones and consider cutting a coil or two out of them. Shortening the spring stiffens it, so you'll be ok.

You'll have to install them first and see how it sits. Install the shocks hand-tight, they pull the car down slightly and you get a more realistic idea of how it sits.

Contact (by phone) a company called Coil Spring Specialties if new springs are part of your plan. They are in Kansas I think.
I was having trouble getting the right spring height for my car and they nailed it perfect the first time.
Be ready to answer any questions about your current set up, accessories bolted to the car, current tire & wheel size, and everything you know about what the car was like originally for options and drivetrain. Also be quite clear about what you hope to achieve for stance.
They can calculate the proper spring load, make the springs for you and their prices are quite reasonable and they ship them fast.
I got a perfect stance and ride feel after putting their springs in. Therefore I recommend them to anyone that might need that sort of thing.
