my 2000 silverado 4x4 ext cab overheated, and the plastic fitting on the end of the hose that goes from heater and (i think coolant overflow) to the water pump is cracked right where it goes onto the water pump. is this caller the heater hose assembly? it y's the 2 hoses together before it goes to the water pump. anywhere to get one besides dealer? how much do you think it will cost? i don't trust my mechanic, so i would like to know before he quotes me a price. i'm gonna call dealer tuesday and ask them for a price on part.

i.m not sure that's it. it has a hard gray plastic fitting like pvc pipe that the small hose and the bigger hose joins with. this might be it but it looks different on my truck. that might be it, the end where they join looks different. how much are these?

www.rockauto.com lists it as 26.79. You could also find the nearest ac delco store and compare it to your part.
