View Full Version : O2 PROBLEMS for a 1999 Tahoe O2 PROBLEMS for a 1999 Tahoe arkansawman33 08-28-2008, 02:12 PM I can change the oxygen sensor and it will run for about 2000 miles and then the same thing over again. C E L comes on and the rough idleing and rich fuel smell. Any suggestions? thanks roadrunner2 08-28-2008, 11:04 PM My Tahoe keeps burning out the Oxygen sensor (right side)(front). And the plugs on the right side is smogged and the BLACK smoke starts. I can change the oxygen sensor and it will run for about 2000 miles and then the same thing over again. Any suggestions? thanks first off right side is unclear...if this is the drivers side I would remove the vacuum line to fuel regulator if you smell/see gas replace regulator.... roadrunner2 08-31-2008, 10:30 PM arkansawman33, My Haynes manual doesn't explain in enough detail for me to diagnose your problem. You'll need a qualified tech to help so you don't throw the wrong parts at it. I was just guessing when I mentioned the faulty cat converter. Sorry I can't be of better assistance.
