Well, i was drawing less and less, getting really annoyed that no drawing i did turned out how i wanted it to. I loved and still do love drawing cars, i just couldnt seem to get anything right.

I went from tracing to grids, and then eventually started drawing fully freehand with quite a bit of accuracy. Then i dont know what happened but things started to go wrong.

Well, i got my GCSE results the other day, and i FAILED art, which has just put me off drawing even more.

I'm not entirely sure yet, but this may be the last thread you see from me!

Chris.

Don't give up.

I can't carry a tune but I still enjoy singing (alone, in my car).

I barely passed any of my English classes and yet I get paid to write articles for national magazines.

Don't give up.

^ x2, How do you fail Art? The instructor must of been one bloody tool to fail you. Art can't be rushed my friend, it takes practice and time mate.

My final drawings and projects were great, i just really didnt know what to do for the "preparation" or coursework. I think thats what let me down.

My 10 hour exam went great but i still failed.

Ive really not been able to draw that well recently either, no idea why. Tried to draw a camaro and failed miserably.

Sorry to hear that. Maybe just take a break from
drawing for a bit and then start again with a fresh mind.

How about getting a new sketch book and just draw for yourself, not another one else.
Try to find the fun in doing your own doodles again.

i AGREE. and we all go thru rough spots. At least i do. I wanna quit at least 3 times a year. And I do. lol. Art is my life its my Identity. I have ADDHD and manic depression and so does my art.

I'm gonna take a break from drawing then, i'll still be on here giving plenty of C+C but as for now my art life is suffering, i cant even get simple drawings in perspective :(

Oh, and apparently a D isnt a fail, but i'd call anything below a C a fail.

i agree 100% with clearing your head. I think art is directly connected to your emotions. If life is getting you down then it will get your art down too. To get back into it I go looking at artists I love, watch movies with cars, drive my car, go to car shows, just get your head into cars ... your art will follow you in. Something that makes us artists that is almost always overlooked is that we feel inspired to create by the things we love. Some people see things they love and they buy them, or get them somehow, or collect things, "get into that hobby" or whatever. An artist creates it. You just gotta find your inspiration.

Yeah guys, this really is a bad spot.

Problems at home and things, dont have a car yet and knowing i cant get one is making things worse. The fact thats its gonna cost me a lot for the car and insurance is like £3000 pa.

I'll just clear my head, or do something fun first.
