Need help! - S10 front end bushings?AlphaBitch 08-25-2008, 02:07 PM 1 - got a flat 2- got new tires 3- needed an alignment .... dude wouldn't / couldn't do my alignment because my bushings are bad and he doesn't have the special 'offset wrench' needed to do it??? so... 1 - WHAT the heck wrench do i need to buy 2 - WHERE the heck do i buy it 3 - what bushings do i need to order??? people at the stupid chevy dealer / parts store are being NO help! i vaguely remember having to do this on my '99 blazer... so i know it can be done... so... someone? anyone? out there know how / where / what do do from here??? please email me ASAP THANK YOU!!!! yahooIM - fumiko4lrk msnIM - schh3fh inafogg 08-25-2008, 03:12 PM hello alpha,not sure of which model/year & i'm guessing on which bushings are worn out but.. if its the control arm bush there is a special tool but dont think you have to use it.basicly remove arm press/drive old bush out (i use an air hammer)& then grease the new bush & press it in using a large socket the same size there are other bushings on your car & i'm guessing which ones your talking about.good luck AlphaBitch 08-25-2008, 03:28 PM sorry... missing info POS Chevy S10 2000 front driver side tire is 6.5 degrees off, passenger tire is 1.0 degrees off apparently it needs a special wrench... because chevy likes to make things as fucking hard as possible to fix.... any ideas???????? i'm ready to scream! MT-2500 08-25-2008, 05:36 PM As said you do not need special wrench for installing bushings. Just replace the bushings and what all else is worn out and look for another alignment shop.
