I have a 94 Chevy Lumina APV 3.8.
I have changed all of these parts in the last 2 weeks
spark plugs and wires
fuel filter
harmonica balancer
tension pulley
water pump
knock sensor
starter
emptied the gas tank and cleaned it out added fresh gas and treatment
new oil and filter
new air filter
The check engine light comes on when you start it and it will spudder for 15 mins then it will drive good. Shut it off come back a few hours later and you have to let it warm up for another 15 mins. And the engine gets really HOT but it doesn't over heat is this normal both fans work

Your post looked a bit lonely - so thought I'd reply :)
First a dumb question - did the problem exist before changing all the parts???
Get it scanned for any trouble codes- if the check engine light comes on it should store a code in the PCM.
If it gets really hot - suggest checking/changing the thermostat. The fans should normally cycle on and off or stay on when air conditioning is on...

It had a knocking noise so I changed the harmonic balancer then everything else went down hill after that

I'm no expert - just know enough to be dangerous...:evillol:
Maybe the crank sensor was damaged or wiring to it was disturbed when harmonic balancer was changed?? A search on crank sensor - shows lots of posts on this, some consider it a common item to replace. So far, I've had no problems with it...
Some places will scan car for codes for free, so if you can do this will help with the diagnosis.

(The code for a '94 is DTC P0341 but testing is the same.)
