It uses MAP, if it's PGM-FI and not a carb...here is an overview and locations...

Good luck!

Just for future reference, any fuel injection system has to be able to sense the volume of intake air coming in. It will either do this by direct measurement (MAF, mass air flow) or by inferring volume by measuring the pressure of the intake air (MAP, manifold absolute pressure). Of the two, MAF is more accurate, since it is a direct measurement of all air entering the engine. A MAF will always be found in the intake tract between the air filter and the throttle plate. It has a grid inside that all air must pass through, and this is how it senses it. It is an inline sensor, so to speak.

MAP are sometimes mounted on the motor, sometimes on a firewall or fender, but will always have a single vacuum line and a couple of wires going to it. Ususally they aren't hard to find if you follow vacuum lines.

It looks like the PGM-FI houses it in a box, that's why it's hard to locate...you can't see it directly. I haven't seen one in so long, I'd forgotten that...
