Lube Gard makes a bottole of red additive for dexron 111 that would give it a little better lube. MT 1993Suburban 08-17-2008, 05:14 PM It's a push button activated transfer case. I'm assuming that's not an automatic transfer case then, correct? Should I go with synthetic fluid? I suppose I'll just stick to conventional. I have used Lube Gard in my transmission with good results, I will pick some of that up and add it. Thanks MT. MT-2500 08-17-2008, 05:31 PM It's a push button activated transfer case. There is a tag on back to id it. On the one that calls for dexron 111 my info says not to use synthetic fluid or the new gm type 6 transmission fluid in them. If you can not find any more dex 111 carquest has the mercon/dexron fluid. Get the lube Gard red bottle for dexron 111 fluid. MT 1993Suburban 08-17-2008, 05:47 PM Cool I'll go take a look at the case number so I know how much fluid to put in it. Conventional Dexron III and Lube Gard it is. Thanks. Thanks. 241 transfer case K1500-K2500 sub takes 4.6 to 5.2 pts. Fill it up untill it runs out the top filler hole. MT Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
