Verifying speed sensor wiring (PCM PINOUT?)Daddy-o1966 08-16-2008, 02:41 PM I am trying to verify the wiring for my son's speed sensor (1996 Taurus G), I have the wire colors from the diagram, but wires are VERY dirty. Does anyone hae a pinout diagram for the PCM? THANKS shorod 08-16-2008, 04:31 PM Which engine does it have, the FFV, Vulcan (12V) or Duratech (24V DOHC)? I believe the G series has the 12V Vulcan engine, in which case the gray/black wire is the Vehicle Speed Sensor Input wire and it connects to terminal 58 of the PCM connector C191. The pink/orange wire goes to terminal 33 of the PCM C191 and is also spliced a couple of times with grounds for other components. -Rod Daddy-o1966 08-16-2008, 04:53 PM shorod, thanks! I have found the terminals... I have continuity on both wires, and about 230 ohms between the terminals. I did notice though that the wire was twisted and possibly the wires were touching. I am going to plug it back in and take a little ride. Wish me luck. I will keep u informed. Chris vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
