How do you change the pcv valve? I've been pulling & pulling on this thing but it doesn't want to loosen up.

After all this time, the rubber grommet holding the PCV valve in is likely old and hard. Gentle use of a prybar or screwdriver under the metal lip should ease it out. The real trick is getting the new one in. If you can, ask the parts store guy if he has a new PCV grommet as well. If not, coat the PCV end with some oil and push it in as far as you can, then use a screwdriver tip and a soft-head hammer to tap it home...putting the tip on the metal part and working around the valve.

That worked. Thanks for the help!

If you ever replace the PCV grommet, I've found it is best to do this with the valve cover removed as then you can invert it so broken pieces of grommet don't fall inside.
