Hi
Engine runs perfect and silent the first 15 minutes (cold engine) , then slowly a ticking sound from warm engine , sound is getting higher can be clearly heard outside , oilpressure was low at idling so I replaced the oilpump ..
same time checked rodbearings =OK , but still low oilpressure and ticking sound , changed oil 10-40W and filter again , flushed engine , can it be a defekt hydraulic lifter ? can that cause low oilpressure ? what puzzels me is that when engine is cold = no "ticking"
All help appriciated Thanks Ken in Sweden

Have you checked the oil pressure with a manual test gauge?
If so what is it reading?

Is the noise in upper end or from valve cover area?
On the ticking pull valve covers and see if you can spot the noise.
Check valve springs or lose rocker arm making a noise.
Or a lifter bleeding down.
