Vacuum Leak???Scott1234 08-13-2008, 11:06 AM My 2004 GC Larado did not blow cool air out the dash vents. On research I was advised to check my cruise control to determine if it was a vacuum leak. The cruise control did not work, so I proceeded to attempt to locate the vacuum problem. Nothing visual, so I tried the spraying suspected areas with carb cleaner, with no sucess. I started unpluging the vacuum lines while the engine was running. I also played with the mode door actuator under the driver's side dash above the transmission tunnel. I did not think I found anything, but the AC is now blowing out of the front vents. The cruise is still not working. Does anyone have any ideas or where I can find a diagram of the vacuum system on this vehicle. Any other suggestion of how to locate a vacuum leak would be appreciated. All my explorations has been under the hood. Thanks Scott:icon16: Bob D. 08-14-2008, 01:22 AM Double check the vacuum hose for leaks - the one going to the intake manifold. (You can also check actual engine intake manifold vacuum with a vacuum gauge.) If you're sure there is no leak it may be the cruise control servo motor or servo vacuum lines. The speed control servo assembly/vacuum line is attached to a bracket located below the battery tray. Sorry no diagrams.
