This will be an OOB build. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P8100001a.jpg Cleaning up all the engine parts. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P8100002a-1.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P8100003a.jpg Zubski evilbob 08-10-2008, 10:23 PM Cool! I love these 'vintage' 70s and 80s F1 builds. Reminds me I have a Williams FW07 collecting dust in it's box.... Shunter 08-11-2008, 03:59 AM I love this car, will be watching with interest. billypee 08-11-2008, 04:01 AM Great kit choice; Piquet driving a Brabham is just about as far back as I can remember watching F1 as a kid and that 4 cylinder turbo BMW engine will be a very different engine than normal to have to model. Can't wait to see this build unfold. Bill Zubski 08-11-2008, 09:18 AM Im glad your interested:iceslolan I started work on the engine and also got some work done on the oil tank and gearbox. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P8110001a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P8110003a.jpg DerXL 08-11-2008, 01:22 PM Ah. I built this car many years ago. It was actually the second F1 model I built. A trip down memory lane. I am really looking forward to your build. You're already off to a good start. billypee 08-12-2008, 03:55 AM Hi Zubski, There are some good engine reference photographs on Gurneyflap and UltimateCarPage; you wont find the BT50 listed but there are plenty of engine photographs of the BT52. HTH, Bill Zubski 08-12-2008, 06:49 PM Just needs a little clean up here and there but the engine is done, and i also finished the oiltank. Working on the gearbox now. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P8120002a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P8120001a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P8120004a.jpg Zubski 08-14-2008, 12:10 PM Started work on the undertray. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P8140003a.jpg DVST8R 08-14-2008, 08:04 PM Yes that undertray requires a lot of puttying and sanding, theres a million ejector pins marks to get rid of :banghead: Looking good so far. Zubski 08-17-2008, 10:03 AM Engine complete. Took pictures outside so you can get some clear pictures. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P8170001a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P8170005a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P8170003a.jpg http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff27/Zubski_8/P8170002a.jpg Now i have to sand all that putty:banghead: stevenoble 08-17-2008, 10:40 AM Lovely work on the engine.Enjoy sanding all that putty!!! I've been doing that myself, all morning in fact on the McLaren MP4/7 I'm building.I really do hate that part of making models but it's essential for a good finish, just drives me nuts :screwy: Zubski 08-17-2008, 11:46 AM Lovely work on the engine.Enjoy sanding all that putty!!!
