206 street WIP

Hi, this is my first WIP thread so be gentle with me, I'm not really good at WIP's. Tamiya Peugeot 206, I try to make it into a tuner street car so I plan to modify the interior as well: put 'more normal-looking' seats and backseats, modify the dashboard etc. First I filled the holes all over the body and built a light-street-tuner-like spolier above the rear window. Then the body was primered and painted matte black before the color painting. That's it for now, more pics come as the progress goes:

Thanks for watching!

Hi tommy boy,

at first when i saw your post title 'street', i thought you were planning to do just that...are you planning to do a normal street 206GTI for that matter or just a WRC car without decals?

i would love to see a GTI if you're really doing one!

cheers!

I'm looking forward to this, it will be neat to see a cleaned up 206. I wish we could get them here in the us. They would sell like hot cakes.

I see them once in a while here in San Diego, but they all have Mexico license plates on them.

I'm not planning to modify the bumpers, they stay like in the pics, I'm not really good at that amount of scratchbuilding. I did modify the wing though, and started some mods on the interior parts. I reshaped the dashboard so far, and finished the seats, still a lot of work to do. I'm not planning to use any decals on it, still undecided about the rims. I don't know if it is closer to street GTI or to the WRC, time will show...

Body is painted, not cleared nor polished yet. The paint is flip flop car paint, but it is not easy to photography the shifting paint effect. It goes from green to anthracite. At least I tried:

Slow progress: original rims painted silver, still I'm not sure to use or change them:

Little addition: this is what it looks like with the original rims and ride height:
