Why is CCA talked so badly all over the place? I have a 20ft piece of it, coiled under my hood, connected from the battery to the power fuse, which is then connected to another 15ft of pure copper wire. 4GA for both pieces, and I see no noticeable difference at all in response, and that's after ADDING a 20ft coil of CCA! Is there something I'm missing?

slightly higher resistence, aluminiom when heated expands and contracts so you will have to check your connection more often. if u are looking for cheaper wire try using welding wire.

CCA wire is also thicker to be the same gauge, so you might have a little trouble getting into the connector. It's not really a bad thing as long as the cmpany is up front about it being CCA.
