Wifes 04 Tahoe doesn't want to start when fuel gauge gets around 1/4 tank. Add a little fuel and it will start. Advise is replace entire fuel Pump/ sending unit, any other checks would be appreciated. Vehicle runs fine otherwise.

A good reason for not letting your tank get below a 1/4 tank.
What size tank and how many gallons does it take to fill it up when it says 1\4 tank?

How many miles on the pump and is it the original Ac-delco pump or aftermarket?


I would start watching the odometer reading and fill up way before before it runs out.

this will require a new pump shortly as running the vehicle below 1/2 a tank overheats the fuel pump...
