91 Accord needs new oil, what to use?yamiherestill 08-08-2008, 06:27 PM I drive a 91 Accord with 210000 miles and need to put some oil in it. What is the best thing to put in it? somick 08-11-2008, 01:35 PM If you just want to level it, I guess any oil is good. As far as I remember on my son's 95 and mine 99 the manual recomends the use of 5W-30. Sam yamiherestill 08-11-2008, 09:38 PM so i found out that 20w50 is the best for it. thanks. somick 08-12-2008, 11:48 AM so i found out that 20w50 is the best for it. thanks. 20-50 is much thicker oil. During the startups it will take more time for oil to get to vital engine parts that need lubrication right away. This will increase engine wear. My son for many years has been using 10W-30 in his 95 LX. His engine runs fine. Sam vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
