Ferrari TR 08-08-2008, 02:31 PM Nice. godfather23 08-08-2008, 04:08 PM Welcome to the family of the TR-bunch. Looking very good what you have so far. I keep my fingers crossed for your body panel line. The red is ... well ... very red and deep. Thumbs up! Anything special coming up? Will you sprue this thing to detail as well??? Robert slk320 08-11-2008, 08:57 PM here is a quick update the body is polished - but i wanted something more and since I have not seen anyone use the numbers before, i decided to try them. On the 1:1 these roundels were placed on the race cars http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y168/slk320/250%20TR/DSC_0651web.jpg I wanted to replicate this car: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y168/slk320/250%20TR/M20Mate20Ferrari2025020TR201420.jpg so here we go: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y168/slk320/250%20TR/IMG_0782.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y168/slk320/250%20TR/IMG_0783.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y168/slk320/250%20TR/IMG_0784.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y168/slk320/250%20TR/IMG_0785.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y168/slk320/250%20TR/IMG_0786.jpg now for the interior - kind of 1:1: http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y168/slk320/250%20TR/57_Ferrari_250TR_0756_DV-07-CC_i-1.jpg http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y168/slk320/250%20TR/IMG_0787.jpg what do you think? klutz_100 08-11-2008, 09:58 PM Damn, I wish I was on a commission! ;) You are moving at lightning spreed! Keep it up, it looks great :) I sooooooooooo want to build the Scuderia transporter in this illustration. I have looked in many places but never found a kit of any description :( http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y168/slk320/250%20TR/M20Mate20Ferrari2025020TR201420.jpg polinesiano 08-12-2008, 04:48 AM Very nice paintjob! slk320 08-12-2008, 10:16 AM Thanks - Klutz, your check is on the way. The Scuderia truck is very nice, but I don't even know of a kit that may be close to that klutz_100 08-12-2008, 11:04 AM The Scuderia truck is very nice, but I don't even know of a kit that may be close to that Scratch project I am afraid :( I know a guy who scratchbuilt an AWESOME Ecuire Ecosse transporter. Itried to persuade him to do the Scuderia one but he wouldn't :) Ferrari TR 08-12-2008, 03:00 PM Nice progress. Several racing haulers have been done in 1/43rd. I was recently watching a tape of vintage f1 cars and saw a wacky matra hauler. godfather23 08-13-2008, 11:42 AM Looking very good. And I´m too slow once more...wanting to use the numbers as well. Oh well, so both of us will have Number 14 cars. I will put them on eventually when the chassis is fitted to the body since I´m not sure what awaits during this operation... How is the quality of the decals? Keep it up! Robert 360spider 08-13-2008, 11:08 PM Great start. Keep in mind though that #14 car is NOT a pontoon fender car. gionc 08-14-2008, 03:23 AM Upppsss, it's a '60/61... anyway great attention at little details like the #14 font style. nniemi 08-14-2008, 03:39 AM Actually that #14 car is factory Le Mans entry from 1958, nothing less than the overall winner. Factory entries in Le Mans abandoned the pontoon fender body and used more conventional type, these are so called TR 58's. Dont panic though, the same car (#0704TR) ran in Sebring 1958 with race number 14. See link for a pic: http://www.racingsportscars.com/photo/1958/Sebring-1958-03-22-014.jpg #0704TR is a RHD car so your reference painting is a bit wrong. Your work is great so far! -Niko tonioseven 08-14-2008, 07:57 AM Very cool so far. :sunglasse slk320 08-14-2008, 10:13 AM hehe - thanks everyone - I am glad that I in this hobby we can take artistic licenses and get away with some of the little inaccuracies :) Related Links Participate in thousands of discussions at AutomotiveForums.com!
