I have a 2000 grand cherokee limited, a few days ago the transfer case decided to go out. A freind of mine has a 2000 laredo that has been rolled but it has a selec trac in it, and i was thinking of using it. I was wondering if its possible to swap a quadratrac transfer case out for a selec trac, if so what needs to be changed in order to do this. Thanks

I think you will get lucky and it will probably be a direct bolt in.

When you get the Cases out look at the Input shaft (part that slides into the transmission, do they look like the stick out the same length. If so it will bolt right in, I also recommend changing the rear tranny seal. If they are not the same email me I will send you the direction to swapping the rear halfs of the case. It is alot easier then swapping out just the Input shaft.
