Does anyone have the P/N for a drop-in K&N air filter? I remember seeing it mentioned on this forum but a search didn't turn it up.

I went to ACDelco's website and found the part # for a replacement filter is A1096C.

Then I went to K&N's manufacturer cross reference page found here:

Now the problem with that is, that it lists four K&N filters that match up to that part #....not cool.

A search for a direct replacement for the Intrigue yielded nothing. But as usual a search for a more popular car with the same filter yielded a result.

I searched K&N for a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville, which ACDelco says uses the same filter. K&N shows part #33-2141-1 for that car. That was also one of the four results for the cross-reference search.

Now with that said, I used to have a K&N in my car and Im almost positive it was part #33-2086 on that list. But I sold it long ago, so I cant remember.

My advice is to pull your air filter and have it handy while looking at K&Ns website. Do the cross reference search and you can see all 4 possible matches. Id start with 33-2141-1 and compare K&Ns dimensions with your own filter.

Also, if youre looking for a performance gain, you might be pretty disappointed. I for one didnt notice a difference of any kind, not even in sound! If you want a lifetime air filter, then I guess K&N might be better. But at the same time, you still have to buy the re-oiling kit. AEM's dryflow filter is what I run in my FWI, they sell a cleaning kit for it as well, but Ive never used one. I just wash it out from the inside every once in a while. Theres no oil involved either.

Personally, if I could do it over again, I wouldnt waste my money on a K&N panel filter for this car. But I dont want to discourage you either.

these oiled filters tend to mess up
Maf sensors. Buy the cheap filters and replace them or go with the sock over the K+N. = light oil only (spray type)

Thats what I'm running for my air filter.

The oiled ones only mess up MAF sensors if you over oil them, but from what I understand that can be fairly easy to do.

Get a K&N if you want, but I think youre modding dollar could be better spent towards something else.

No oil, just good technology in the Amsoil EA filters.

i agree on k&n messing up maf the kids mom put to much of that grease i call it and i told her it would mess up maf and it did scerwed it up she had to get a used one at junkyard.

I agree on the EA Amsoil stuff; I just swapped for one, didn't notice any performance gain, but it is high quality.
