I purchased a 04 aveo new in 04. now has 50K. I did the timing belt as recommended, old belt looked perfect. Developed a random miss and found the valve issue on the tsb. I did not believe it this time. Did lots of study and diagnostics found bad coil. I changed plugs and wires. It did no good.
Three sets of wire later and lots of prayer, I went to the dealer and installed dealer wires and plugs. i'm proud to say its purring now. i commute 90 a day. i have got 35-41mpg always. This is the first problem with car. I only paid 7800 out the door for it. Its an awesome car! hope this post helps someone.
