Hey guys i have replaced my coolant sensor 3 times but the computer thingy still says it is bad. :runaround: I think i have read that there is 2 of them somewhere but i dont know where it is. The one i have replaced is on the top of the motor. I have a 97 grand cherokee limited with the 5.2 .... I have just replaced the coolant too to see if that would do it still says the sensor is badd. Thanks for any help

It's probably the coolant level sensor, located on the recovery/reservoir bottle.

The coolant sensor that is probably the problem is located in the engine block in the top front just behind the top radiator hose. It's very hard to see and hard to get at. Good luck

The computer thingy LOL only monitors the reservoir bottle sensor as bob stated. Before you do change the sensor remove the computer thingy "LOL again" from the dash and resolder the joints at the wiring harness connector of the computer thingy and see if the message goes away.
