Fan??Hoytman 07-23-2008, 09:55 AM I'm looking at a 2002(10\01) Grand Cherokee that has a overheating problem at low speeds which seems to be a problem in the PCM because the fan does not come on even with the A/C. The vehicle does not overheat when driving at speed - usually only gets hot when stopped @idle. I noticed that this waterpump hub will accept the fan clutched fan as well. Should this vehicle have two fans or did it come with just the one electric fan?? Just wondering because I'm down South & it's 100 degrees and it seems like both fans might be a good idea. Thanks for any suggestions! 72mino 07-23-2008, 10:34 AM You could try jumping 12 volts straight to the fan to rule out a bad fan motor. As far as a mehanical fan, you should try posting in the Grand Cherokee forum, and they will want to know what engine you have as well. My wife's 96 Cherokee sport with the 4.0 I6 does have a mechanical and electric fan. Dustin vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
