Hey folks I had a 99 grand cherokee with the 4.0 and i'm buying an 04 with the 4.0 also. now are the throttle bodies the same. i know the TPS and IAC are different but physically the two appear the same and i'm wondering if there will be any issues in swaping them. the reason i want to swap them is the one off the 99 is bored out and i have the spacer for it and i'd really like to be able to use it on the 04

The information I have says they are not the same part.

yea same here, apparently up to 03 is the same, but in 04 they changed it.

that's going to aggravate me i wonder what's different i bet it's the map sensor well worse case i'll just keep the spacer on it i guess and look to find one bored for an 04 i guess.

now digging around i'm seeing that they go from 02-04 i don't know in a lot of used part interchanges i'd imagine that if the iac, tps, and map sensor are in the same location and have the same passages and what not it may work.
