My trusty 95 Accord will start to shake (like the wheels are out of balance) once I firts hit about 60+mph. However, after about 90 seconds the shakking will go away. ANy idea what this would be? I have 160k on it, tune up done about 10k ago. Thanks!

When did you last balance your wheels?

alignment and possibly tie rod ends are no good

I just balanced the tires about 5000 miles ago, I looked at the suspension/tie rods, etc but couldn't tell anything. What should I be looking for?

Do you feel it though the steering column or just in the body of the car?

Could be unrealated to wheels/tires, like a torque convertor lockup shudder, or could be an issue like sticking brake caliper that staying applied to a warped rotor...that will make the caliper shudder back and forth at high speed and feels like a wheel balance issue, until it gets knocked back out of the way, then smooths out.

have any issues with brake pedal pulsation or brake shudder when you brake from highway speeds?

Alignment or balance issue isn't going to resolve itself as you drive, you are looking for something else. sometimes you can have two slightly unbalanced tires that can produce a real bad shake when they phase together, but it comes and goes in surges.

I feel like it is the whole car, not just the steering wheel. Brakes are about 4 years old, so probably could use some new pads. Last time I did it I didn't turn the rotors either, so I will be sure to do that. If I brake really hard I can feel a slight pulse with the brakes.

I will also re-balance the tires, and let you know how it goes. Thanks again for the suggestions.
