99 blazer tranny bolt

I am removing the engine from my 1999 Blazer and I cannot get a socket,wrench or anything on the top driverside tranny mounting bolt. any idea's?

Remove the driveshafts, separate the transfer case, lower the rear of the transmission, and socket it out. Your other option would be to remove the engine mounts and lower the engine a couple inches, or tilt it forward.

Thanks Bowtie, I' ll give that a try tommorrow, this has been a less than enjoyable project.

I'll warn you in advance that the transfer case is not a lot of fun to remove. You may be able to slide it rearward enough to clear the transmission tailshaft and allow the trans to drop, but you'll have to relieve the torsion bars to remove the transmission crossmember.
