2000 camry outside door handle

hi all,
would it be difficult to replace the outside door handle (driver's door)? mine is half cracked off.

theirs like 10 manuals =( which one?
my door handle Just the part you put your fingers in to open broke off
so now i gotta use 2 hands n grab both sides to open it =\

but i dont know what they call the outside door handle =\

Door handles are not to hard to replace, the clips that hold the door panel on seem to change every 4 years so you have to determine the best way to remove them. Also a helper holding all the levers inside the door when you connect them to the new handle is nice to have. I just started taking parts off the door until I had access to where I needed to be.

There's just some things my kids don't seem to learn in school. In sub zero weather door handles sometimes need tenderness to open instead of overwhelming force.

I would download the repair manual and the electrical wiring diagrams and keep them for future reference.

The manual doesn't have a step by step procedure to remove the outside door handle. There are however two diagrams showing configuration of screws attaching the door trim panel and the handle itself. As GSS123 stated, you just take it apart till you get there. Once you open the manual select the "Body" file and go to page BO-11.

Just changed an outside drivers door handle on a 94 yesterday. Took me about two hours. I found removing the window glass gave me a little better access, at least to see the back side of the handle. Lower the glass half way, remove two bolts securing the glass to the track, pull the window out the top.
