A Honda dealership is telling my daughter it is normal for rear disk brake pads to wear faster than the front disk pads. I always thought the front pads wear faster since they do 70% of the work in stopping a car. What say you? Is this dealer full of it or am I missing something?

dealer is full of it. My first set went over 90k miles and I changed the fronts 3 times in that same time.

I could see how rear brakes could wear faster if Honda used a softer brake pad material. The benefits would be better braking on the rear wheels and would cause fewer spin-outs. This could also cause both front and rear pads to wear out at the same time so it would only be one trip to the repair shop to do a brake job. However in my experience, the rear brakes will last about 2X the front. This is based on aftermarket products.
