My car is 2000 Honda Accord (4 cyl) and I plan to use 18" rim, will 225/40/18 tire fits on my car without doing any modification??

TIA

you should use a 215/40-18 tire size on your Accord

Hi Luke,

If I use 225/40/18 for my car will it always rub against the body or just when I do hard corner? 'cause a relative gave these rims to me and there is about 80% tread left on Pirelli tire so it's kind a waste to throw them away and saving to a student is a plus ;)

My rims have +42 offset.

Thank you for your info ;)

I can not answer that question without knowing what size the wheels are .... since you already have them put them on and see if you have enough clearance

My car is in the body shop (accident) and the rims are in my garage so that's why I ask for more info to see anything else that I can do or buy before get the car back and put them on. ;)

Size of the rim is 18x7

Thank you

18x7 ET42 with a 225 will rub when you turn or hit a bump and especially when you have people in the car ... I would not suggest the tire size for your car ....

I have never had any rubs or problems with 18 x 7 with 225/40 tires. I want to know if I can use 18 x 8.5? Same car except 1999 V6 Accord.
