currently I own a 2000 Honda civic sedan EX, I'm thinking about getting a 2003 Lexus IS 300. I wanted to keep my civic and also get the lexus but I don't know if its possible, I still owe about 10,000 on the civic(to my parents). Any tips or suggestions?

also I've noticed that on the 2003 Lexus IS 300's that I've seen the tail lights are like "smoked" rather than clear, is that the case for all 2003 IS 300's? I prefer the clear ones, so would I have to get 2002?

Also basically I would want the Honda EX equivalent for Lexus in my IS 300, so what would that be? What should I pay for a 2003 IS 300?

any other tips or info greatly appreciated,, also what should I get E-shift or manual???

thanks,

Damn if you owe your parents 10 g's on that civic you own see if you can work somehting out with them. im guessing you already have, but obviously your parents are well off, you just missed one of the best times to buy a new car, so i were you, i would wait a while and get a slightly used IS with a couple thousand miles on it, that way you'll be saving a lot of money

My wife is looking at getting an IS300 also. This might be slightly off topic, but if anyone could list the pros and cons of owning an IS300, and whether it's worth the money (could get an EVO, STi, or a G35 for around the same price), i would greatly appreciate it. Just PM me if that's easier than posting here in this thread. Thanks in advance.

Don't put yourself in debt to buy shit you don't need.

Either wait until your debt is paid off....or relatively low, to get the IS300

Or.....just sell the Civic and work on the IS300

PROS: Powerfull, smooth engine, crisp handling, racing look.

CONS: Uncomfortable, cheap interior, Tight rear seats.

---Overall---

Good car for a person who wants a sporty/luxury ride. Not meant for family purposes.
