I hate all of these ricers with all thier coffee can mufflers and triple bookshelf on bookshelf wings. They are invading our sweet little country and making it an eye sore for tourists. All you ricers out there how do you think Honda feels about you defiling (spelling) thier sweet little economy cars. This isn't what they had in mind. Ohh yes and one more thing I hate seeing perfectly nice drifting cars like Nissan 240sxs and Mazda RX 7s getting these huge cardboard looking body kits, or so called combat kits.

Yeah it's just evidence of a lack of engine knowledge. When you're dealing with NA small engines, you're limited as to the amount of power you can get from it. All the kids try to emulate Japan, but all the cars with big wings in Japan are turbocharged!! Big difference.

Ok, I saw a car the other day at Murry's with a real coffie can for the tailpipe tip, no bs, I swear to god. It was the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life, yeah buddy that exhaust tip must make that car go at least .00001 miles per hour faster now. I'm a firm beliver in a fast car that's totally under cover, black on black, no chrome, no spoiler, no loud exhaust. Keep it under the hood and try not to get the attention of every cop with in 5 miles just driving down the road.

actually, my friend has a 92 Metro......it looks REAL goofy....but anywho, you can just go under there and cut a section out before the cats/mufflers and just figure a way to hold it all up (my friend used a sock and some masking tape), and it will be loud for the little 3 cyl. it has.....but somehow, with no mufflers or anything, its quieter than most rice mobiles....

Rice
I eat rice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. American muscle baby. When my 95 4.6 Thunderbird was stock it beat a civic with the cold air intake and muffler like it was nothing. I might have been able to stop 2 times in the rice start back and still win. Keep ricing those imports I'll just add more horses not near the same in gears.
I know ricers have fealings also I'm sorry lol.
Some rice is good for your diet though. I love teh RX7 and twin turbo supra

you think you can pump out alot of power with a stock muffler? if it were me.. and say.. i had a nissan se-r or somethign i would go for the nismo exhaust system, and get a carbon fiber hood/trunk and paint them the color of my car, so the weight would be pretty balanced, as for spoilers have you seen the gt races? those cars look riced as hell.. the only different is they are actually fast

What do you guys think of cars that are fast with a body kit and spoiler? I kinda wanna buy a 240sx and super charge it after I do some engine work, maybe blueprint it or something. I still think that a decent looking spoiler, not a universal, and a body kit look good. I guess that attracts all the cops tho.

lol...mate, a supercharged 240sx wud attract more than it's fair share of attention - rice or no rice!! pretty good choice though, spoiler and decent body kit go good on a car like that
..but if it's cops u wana avoid, consider a good sleeper project...a decent civic is a popular choice

how can you treat your car that way? a car is a car, atleast give it some respect, and whats worse you are TALKING about ricing ur car, usually people jus throw on a muffler and altezzas n call it a day, your goin all into the bicycle mirrors (the high end ricer stuff)

Hey man, what disrespect. How can you forget decals? I mean c'mon, DECALS!! All ricers gotta have decals, they're dyno-tested to increase horsepower by at least 150%!!
On a different note, I read in a Gran Turrismo book I saw at borders that a particular racing team got 926 horses out of a 1.5 liter engine at 12,500. THat's insane. I don't remember who did it though...

In the days of American Muscle Cars we called that a "Sleeper" and they got the most respect.
The guys who decorate their cars to 'look' like racers are usually big talkers with not much else going on.
The street racers that you DONT want to mess with were the quiet ones whose cars look totally stock. If a guy is willing to bet money on a race armed only with what LOOKS like a stocker then you better not take that bet.
Bling-bling cars are a sign of a tiny pecker.

Having owned a Civic Si, I feel the need to tell people that some of us actually need the spoilers and body kits (Civics start to float above 160.) I could retire if I had a dime for every punk who has revved up to my stang right before they turn...pussies.

Its not coffee cans, stacked wings, body kits, and stickers that makes me hate it. Its the person's attitude that I hate. I think its the person that makes it rice. If some guy in a tricked out Civic stops in the lane beside you and starts revving his engine up real loud at you and laughing at you, then that is what causes you to hate them.

My thoughts on "ricers":
I have met some guys, that take economy cars, and build them up, and i have respect for that. I have met some guys that throw a K&N filter in there car and try and race a 5.0 mustang. The latter should be hurt badly. There are far too many crap boxes on the road, domestic and import that are slow, crappy, and a waiste of space and precious oxygen that my engine needs to be breathing. The stupidity is not confined to ricers alone.

ok... i really really need to clear something up here people.... you all have a very scewwed deffinition of a ricer. A ricer is called a ricer for a reason. You know how in Japan they eat an excessive amount of rice?? *hint*HINT* A ricer is defined bye where it is made... not bye who drives it or what is done to the car... all Japenese cars are ricers...in and out... just a ricer. But the has been a point proved... a lot of those people that drive ricers are aragont (i cant spell, gimme a break)...

ok well, I think I'm gonno turn my car into what some people consider a "ricer" well u know what, I DON'T CARE WHAT OTHERS THINK. I am doing this for me and so I can have a car I think is nice. Anyone who doesn't like it can.....well can't say that but yeah. I think its up to whatever the person wants. If you want to street race, get a light car, make it lighter and faster, whatever. If you want a so called ricer, put some kit on it and paint it and style it the way you want. either way it turns out awsome (if the guy has a sense of style)

the thing that bugs me is the ricers who make their car rediculously loud. I don't mind the people who make their car "all show no go" as much but i think that if you went through the trouble of putting on a body kit you should at leased put a cold air intake, headers, high flow cat, catback system that isn't loud, and a better throttle body. You should at leased be able to beat someone who pulls up in a stock sedan or coup (not necessarily sport).

The thing is, to make your car "faster" or at least try to, you have to improve its performance to try to make it not "all show and no go" as you put it. A good place to start is the exhaust to help make the engine breath easyer. Now, I`m not a big fan of "loud" cars but mufflers restrict the flow of exhaust gases from the car in the way that they work, fewer mufflers or less restrictive mufflers = more performance = more noise. Not many performance exhaust companies make "quiet" aftermarket exhausts and with some cars its a case of buying whats available not necesserally what you want. (BTW a company called "Jetex" make a very good aftermarket quiet`ish exhaust for anyone who`s interested, fitments available for most european/japanese cars). Although I do agree that some of these exhaust tips big enough to park a small car in do look very silly sometimes.
Do what you want to your car, it dosnt hurt anyone. If we all followed the same "rules" life would be very boring.

I don't realy like ricers. I don't care if people try to make there cars look good. I just don't get why they bragg and think there cars are so fast. I they actuly did somyhing to the engine I would have more respect form them and the cars. My brother races a mighty compact at the local oval track. Mighty compacts are race cars but there 4 doch engines instead of the V8 late modles. That thing is a 4 cylinder but it dose a good bit of power because he has had it bored alittle bit, he has a long rod kit, 700 head, 11 pound light weight fly wheel etc. He put so much work into it. If these ricers would actuly do more intrenaly then I would have more respect. I Just don't like these guys that buy a carbon fiber vented hood and some ground effects and call them selves racers or whatever.
