Question about fiberglass body kit?

i bought a blitz fiberglass body kit for my 98 gs. The kit doesnt fit my car at all. The kit is already cracked down the rear bumper, the side skirts are chipped etc... Would it be salvagable, or even worth it in the long run to take it to a body shop and have the work done to repair and make it fit right? How many of you have fiberglass kits on your car? I was goin to just buy a urethane kit but i cant really afford it at the moment, and i dont want to drive around with my half ass car anymore. And then i was looking at but a differnt style of kit, like an r34 kit and i cant even find the front in urethane? My last option is to go to the junk yard and get stock bumpers and just make a sleeper. But yet i really like the look of aftermarket bumpers?

What should i DO!!!!
just lookin if you guys have had nething like this happen to you and what you did?

Yeah you F*d up when you bought a cheap kit. Personally I wouldnt even try to make it fit right. Sell the kit to some ricer and buy a nice kit, produced by a reputable brand.

:werd: Do it right or dont do it at all dude. Scrap that POS eBay fiberglass kit and get a nice one, if you choose to.

the kit was etreme dimensions so i assumed it was a good kit... my fault i guess. Going to the junk yard monday to get some stock bumpers i think :frown:

Well thats unfortunate, I'd expect something a little better than that from a company like that.

no they wouldnt take it back bc it was already drilled. When i got it i started installing the front, which fit pretty decently. Then when i got to sides and back it went down hill.... way down hill!!

I would call them up and bitch them out at least.. do something, you can get people to do what you want with a little coercing (and threats of a lawsuit :P)

Wow. A guy I know bought a urethane Extreme dimensions brand Blitz style kit for his 97 eclipse, and it fit flawlessly actually. He installed it in his driveway and the fitment was top notch. One of the best fitting kits I have seen.

I deal directly with extreme dimensions at my shop and I have actually had my first perfect fitting fiberglass body kit from them the other week. But the thing with andy's auto sport.com is that if they do not have an ED kit in stock they will pull the same style kit but from a less reputable company (so in essence you get lesser quality kit). I've had it in reverse also they ran out of a cheap kit I sold and gave this guy a high quality kit for less money. I would sell it and get a poly kit.
